What the terrorists can't accomplish with violence, their sympathizers will destroy from within.
Debt Free America Act (HR 4646)
Introduced by Rep Chaka Fattah, (D. PA)
H.R. 4646 would impose a 1 percent “transaction tax” on every financial transaction — whether paid by cash, credit card or any form of financial transfer, the only exception being transactions involving the purchase or sale of stock. Theoretically, everyone would pay one cent on the dollar for every such transaction in America every day — whether $3 million on a $300 million business acquisition, $300 on the purchase of a $30,000 car, or $5 on a $500 ATM withdrawal.

Watching LIVE on Facebook
Fantastic! Bet they won't let Glenn come back again. Too much God... Faith, Hope, Charity. Scripture.
Wish I was there, but at least can watch live. Facebook live link in left column.

HUGE Turnout Reports one of our Attendees. Sharpton Rally has 20-30 in Attendance!
Just got a call from one of our Rally attendees. He says the entire Mall from Lincoln Memorial back to the Washington Monument is full and spilling out to the sides. And that they walked past a group of Al Sharpton protestors that totaled 20-30, at most. But to be fair, their rally doesn't start for a few hours. They'll still be lucky to garner more than a few thousand and that's being charitable.
Our friend who called has people around him from Pennsylvania, from the local area and from as far away as San Jose, California. Hope to get photos up soon, don't forget to watch the LIVE Stream on Facebook, link left column.

Bus Has Arrived at RFK Stadium
They made great time, voted to pass on the breakfast stop since everyone had brought a breakfast as well as sack lunch. My sister has been texting and calling me with updates. And it's a good thing they decided to get in as early as possible because one of the DC Metro lines that serves RFK Stadium to the Mall area is down for scheduled maintenance. The Blue line is down with two trains sharing the same track and massive delays.
So... there are hundreds in their group, walking down C Street to Pennsylvania Avenue (not the best of areas, but safety in numbers and there are police along the way) then to the Mall. They should be safely on Pennsylvania Avenue by now and those who need to, will take a break at the Capitol building before heading towards the Lincoln Memorial.
At risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist -- why scheduled maintenance today? Why are the elevators at Union Station listed as out-of-service for replacement? Why was this not posted earlier? I've been tracking the Metro status with a Droid app for weeks. Wonder what they have in store for us 912?

Headed to Restoring Honor Rally but No Live Blogging
Our group got underway at exactly 12:14 a.m. this morning. We got to the parking area at 11:30 and all but two families were already there! Meeting time was 11:30 - to midnight, so we had a very, very motivated group. Everyone as kind and thoughtful in person as they've been in our emails and phone calls.
But... I am sick with a sinus infection, fever and blood pressure is sky high. Saw my doctor today who said "No" to me going at least two dozen times. Which was about 18 more than his "No's" for me going to 912 last year. I'll admit that I was still planning to go, but felt absolutely awful come 11 p.m. with blood pressure still very high. That was the determining factor and with my sister ready to take over bus captain duties, I actually exercised good judgement and did not go. But just to make certain, Jason made me leave my pack and water at the house. He knew when I met everyone and saw the bus, that I'd change my mind and go. He was right, as usual.
So we got everyone checked in, went over what to expect, asked for questions (there were none, this group is fantastic!), offered a short prayer and everyone boarded and were underway on time. Photos below. Will update throughout the morning. Disappointment at not being with our group at the Rally is palpable. But there in spirit, like everyone reading this blog Saturday--

Tea Party Group Hit With Death Threats
This will only increase support for Freedom Works and conservative causes. Obama and his operatives have unified the American public behind conservative Constitutional values as no one has since Ronald Reagan. Link to Freedom Works HERE.

One of Washington's principal supporters of the Tea Party movement, former GOP Majority Leader Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, has been receiving death threats and profanity-laced phone calls as it gets involved in the fall elections. The number and intensity have reached such heights that the organization is leaving its downtown location near the FBI and moving to a high-security building near the U.S. Capitol.
"FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and E-mails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons," spokesman Adam Brandon tells Whispers. "As we get closer to the election we expect the harassment to increase."

TEST for Saturday's LIVE BLOGGING
I'll be blogging live for our trip to the Restoring Honor rally. This is a test post from my Droid. Had a Blackberry when I blogged the Code Red Rally last year. Will test the YouTube capability next. Please share this link and help us cover the rally since the MSM won't even mention.
UPDATE: Just uploaded a one-minute test video to our Patriots 28560 YouTube channel (deleted if you decide to look for it) and it took 10 minutes to upload. Will try to publish videos Saturday, but with so many people planning to do the same, I may have to wait and publish when we get home.

States Take Preemptive Strike Against Shariah
Written by Joe Wolverton, II

The New American
Wary of the increasing influence of Shariah law and its international adherents, lawmakers in several states are taking preemptive measures to protect their jurisprudence and infrastructure from what they see as the frightening ascendancy of a pernicious dogma.
In Louisiana, for example, the state legislature passed, and Governor Bobby Jindal (left) signed into law, Act 714, the so-called “American and Louisiana Laws for Louisiana Courts.” The law’s co-authors, state Representative Ernest Wooton and state Senator Danny Martin, cite the attempts by Muslim immigrants to cite tenets of Shariah law in courts across the nation as the impetus for enactment of the new legislation.
Shariah, which means “path” in Arabic, is the sacred law of Islam. The precepts of Shariah have two sources: the Koran and the writings of Mohammed. Shariah is the code that is responsible for the stoning of adulteresses; the caning of rape victims; and the restrictions on dress, rights of inheritance, and marital status of women. Institutional acceptance of this legal code has expanded rapidly, and frightfully to some, in Europe. The government of the United Kingdom, for example, has established five Shariah courts to settle disputes among Muslims. It is this level of deference that opponents on this side of the pond are seeking to avoid.

Support for RADICAL Islam
I have been focusing on filling the Havelock bus for the Restoring Honor Rally. But I cannot let the latest Cordoba (Obamamosque) Controversy go uncovered. The building of the mosque -- and Obama's support for such (using the red herring of "religious freedom" as cover) they can build ANYWHERE, why so close to Ground Zero -- Obama's support is an outrage. A capitulation to tyranny. The beginning of a chain of events that will provide radical islam a foothold to commit even more atrocities in the heart of New York City.
From AP Coverage:
At a dinner Friday celebrating the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Mr. Obama said Muslims have a right, as a matter of religious freedom, to build a religious center near Ground Zero. "Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country," he said to applause.
On Saturday, the president said, "I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque" near Ground Zero, he told reporters during a visit to the Gulf Coast. "I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding."
Later Saturday, White House spokesman Bill Burton said the president wasn't backtracking. "The president is not backing off in any way from the comments he made last night," he said. He had no further comment on Sunday.
---------------------
It is not coincidental that the mosque's name, Cordoba House, takes after the city in southern Spain that marked one of radical Islam's greatest conquests in Europe during the Middle Ages. Cordoba was a major center in the global caliphate being erected by the rampaging Islamists of the time - the very caliphate that Osama bin Laden and his allies seek to restore. A giant mosque was built upon the ruins of a Catholic church. For Islamists, erecting mosques on defeated territories is a sign of subjugation - the submission of infidels to Allah's rule.

Calling all Tea Partiers, Join Congresswoman Michele Bachmann for a National Tele-Townhall
Bachmann Calls for Nancy Pelosi To Enter 12 Step Program For Her Addiction To Job-Killing Spending
Tele-Town Hall is TONIGHT at 6 p.m. Central.
With Nancy Pelosi’s declaration that Congress will be reconvening to authorize billions of dollars of spending the government doesn’t have, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann announced she will be holding a National Tea Party Tele-Townhall to listen to the response of the American people.
“Nancy Pelosi has already spent over $3.6 trillion on so-called ‘stimulus’ spending and now she wants to give in excess of $20 billion to politicians to spend on even more big government,” Congresswoman Bachmann said. “She is clearly addicted to spending other people’s money and is rushing members of Congress back to Washington to get a spending fix. Could it be she wanted to ensure she has distributed taxpayer-subsidized ‘walking around money’ to public employee unions across the country prior to the election to desperately try to save her already endangered majority? The same public employee unions which will provide the boots on the ground to re-elect a Democrat majority in the mid-term elections, where Speaker Pelosi’s grip on the gavel is in serious doubt?”
“After only a few days away from D.C., Democrats in Congress are determined to not let even a week go by without spending additional billions of dollars for even more big government programs. That’s why I’ll be joining with other leaders to hold a National Tea Party Tele-Townhall to listen to Americans who have had enough of the out-of-control spending and endless tax increases.”
People interested in participating in the National Tea Party Tele-Townhall on Monday, August 9 at 6 pm central – the same time Pelosi will be convening Congress - can sign up HERE. Over one million people will be invited to participate, and is expected to be the largest tele-townhall ever held by members of Congress

Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Lindsey Graham, Richard Lugar, and Judd Gregg share responsibility for the irreparable damage this judicially unqualified political operative will cause to our Constitution.
Ben Nelson, democrat, voted No.

An August Surprise from Obama?
Supposedly done to help families who are underwater in their mortgages. An obvious political move to save the House and Senate in November. Article states that the political gamble is that more grateful voters will go to the polls and vote dem than outraged voters who will vote for our CONSTITUTION AND COUNTRY!
And if the obama administration wants to help people with mortgages, etc., then CUT TAXES and grow the economy; put people back to work. Quit taking OUR money, sending it to Washington, then back to the states, counties, cities. We send up one dollar and get back ten cents.
Silent No More. Remember in November. Recycle Government.

An August Surprise from Obama?
Aug 5, 2010 00:26 EDT
James Pethokoukis, Reuters
Main Street may be about to get its own gigantic bailout. Rumors are running wild from Washington to Wall Street that the Obama administration is about to order government-controlled lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to forgive a portion of the mortgage debt of millions of Americans who owe more than what their homes are worth. An estimated 15 million U.S. mortgages – one in five – are underwater with negative equity of some $800 billion. Recall that on Christmas Eve 2009, the Treasury Department waived a $400 billion limit on financial assistance to Fannie and Freddie, pledging unlimited help. The actual vehicle for the bailout could be the Bush-era Home Affordable Refinance Program, or HARP, a sister program to Obama’s loan modification effort. HARP was just extended through June 30, 2011.

Missouri Votes Down ObamaCare -- Prop C Passes Overwhelmingly
From STLToday.com
ST. LOUIS • Missouri voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected a federal mandate to purchase health insurance, rebuking President Barack Obama's administration and giving Republicans their first political victory in a national campaign to overturn the controversial health care law passed by Congress in March.
"The citizens of the Show-Me State don't want Washington involved in their health care decisions," said Sen. Jane Cunningham, R-Chesterfield, one of the sponsors of the legislation that put Proposition C on the August ballot. She credited a grass-roots campaign involving Tea Party and patriot groups with building support for the anti-Washington proposition.
With most of the vote counted, Proposition C was winning by a ratio of nearly 3 to 1. The measure, which seeks to exempt Missouri from the insurance mandate in the new health care law, includes a provision that would change how insurance companies that go out of business in Missouri liquidate their assets.
"I've never seen anything like it," Cunningham said at a campaign gathering at a private home in Town and Country. "Citizens wanted their voices to be heard."
About 30 Proposition C supporters whooped it up loudly at 9 p.m. when the returns flashed on the television showing the measure passing with more than 70 percent of the vote.
"It's the vote heard 'round the world," said Dwight Janson, 53, from Glendale, clad in an American flag-patterned shirt. Janson said he went to one of the first Tea Party gatherings last year and hopped on the Proposition C bandwagon because he wanted to make a difference.
"I was tired of sitting on the sidelines bouncing my gums," he said.
Missouri was the first of four states to seek to opt out of the insurance purchase mandate portion of the health care law that had been pushed by Obama. And while many legal scholars question whether the vote will be binding, the overwhelming approval gives the national GOP momentum as Arizona, Florida and Oklahoma hold similar votes during midterm elections in November.
"It's a big number," state Sen. Jim Lembke, R-Lemay, said of the vote. "I expected a victory, but not of this magnitude. This is going to propel the issue and several other issues about the proper role of the federal government."
From almost the moment the Democratic-controlled Congress passed the health care law — which aims to increase the number of Americans with health insurance — Republicans have vowed to try to repeal it. Their primary argument is that they believe the federal government should not be involved in mandating health care decisions at the local level.
While repeal might seem an unlikely strategy, the effort to send a message state by state that voters don't approve of being told they have to buy insurance could gain momentum.
That's what Republicans are counting on at least, hoping that the Missouri vote will give the national movement momentum.
"It's like a domino, and Missouri is the first one to fall," Cunningham said. "Missouri's vote will greatly influence the debate in the other states."
Proposition C faced little organized opposition, although the Missouri Hospital Association mounted a mailer campaign opposing the ballot issue in the last couple of weeks. The hospital association, which spent more than $300,000 in the losing effort, said that without the new federal law, those who don't have insurance will cause health care providers and other taxpayers to have higher costs.
"The only way to get to the cost problem in health care is to expand the insurance pool," said hospital association spokesman Dave Dillon. He said the hospital association didn't plan to sue over the law, but he expected it would be challenged.
"I think there is going to be no shortage of people who want to use the courts to resolve this issue," he said.
Democrats also generally opposed Proposition C, though they didn't spend much time or money talking about it.
In the closing days of the campaign, many politicians 'sidled up" to Proposition C, Cunningham said, seeing the momentum the issue had gained.
Among them was U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, who won the Republican primary for U.S. Senate on Tuesday night. Late last week, Blunt announced his support of Proposition C.
On Monday, Blunt said he hoped Missouri voters would send a "ballot box message" to the Obama's administration by overwhelmingly passing the measure.
The question now is whether the administration will respond by suing the state to block passage of the law, much as it did in Arizona recently over illegal immigration.
The issue in both is the same: When state laws conflict with federal laws, the courts have generally ruled in favor of the federal government, because of the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Richard Reuben, a law professor at the University of Missouri School of Law, said that if the federal government sues on the issue, it would likely win. Several other Missouri legal and political scholars agreed.
But Cunningham is undaunted. She's got her own experts, and they're ready to do battle in court.
"Constitutional experts disagree," she said. "There is substantial legal status to this thing."

Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu(Correction: As initially posted, this story inaccurately said that Pinal County was contiguous with the Mexican border. It is in southern Arizona, but not on the border.)
(CNSNews.com) – Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu is hopping mad at the federal government.
Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.
“What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.
